Kurt Swanson
Kurt is the Director of Masterworks of Minneapolis. With a heart for the poor and a love for Jesus, Kurt received his MBA in Economic Development from Eastern College in 1992, and spent 5 years in Guinea, West Africa, working among some of the poorest of the poor. After returning to the U.S., he spent several years directing the missions program of Bethlehem Baptist Church, and then joined Masterworks in 2003. Kurt and his wife, Jill, have four children.
Don Norman
Don began working at Masterworks in 2004. Don has a cross-cultural background having lived in Uganda, East Africa, for many years. HIs combination of mechanical aptitude and heart for ministry make him a natural fit for Masterworks where he oversees the auto shop and many of the physical operations. Don dreams of using his experience as a camp director to challenge the Masterworks employees through wilderness adventure. Don's wife, Trudy, is from Uganda. They have five children.
Jim Waldemar
Jim joined the Masterworks crew in 2005. Jim's expertise is as a builder/remodeler, and he has been using those sills to lead our small construction crew, investing his knowledge and faith in the lives of a few mean. Jim and his family moved into one of the apartments rehabbed by the work crew in order to live in proximity to several of our Masterworks employees. Jim and his wife, Barb, have three children, including one precious daughter brought home from China.
Toph Majors
We are happy to welcome Toph as our first intern at Masterworks. Toph graduated from Moody Bible Institute and is now enrolled in The Bethlehem Institute as part of his preparation for full-time urban ministry. Toph has been involved in various urban ministries in both inner-city Chicago and Minneapolis. His roles at Masterworks include planning our morning Bible Studies and investigating ways of moving forward with a holistic, multi-faceted program.
Tim Glader
In 1991, Tim founded Masterworks after years of business experience, as he came to realize just how many obstacles to a productive working life exist for many city dwellers. TIm is now the president of Masterworks Manufacturing Systems, Inc., our for-profit branch. His wealth of experience, business acumen and heart for ministry are a tremendous help to the workings of the non-profit side as well. Tim and his wife, Barbie, have four children.
